VelAcc - Velocity Determination with GPS 2003-09

ETOS VelAcc allows to determine the velocity of a vehicle rather precisely by using GPS carrier phase measurements which have a noise level of a few millimetres or even in the sub-millimetre range depending on the receiver model in use. Inputs: No data of reference stations are needed. VelAcc only needs pseudo-ranges and carrier phases on L1 (at least) and will derive the velocities from carrier phase differences assuming stable satellite clocks (and suitable satellite clock error predictions). Standard RINEX observation and navigation files are needed for the rover. You may additionally give an IGS clock error file in order to assure that satellite clocks are modelled with highest precision possible. Outputs: Single point solution from pseudo-ranges (not filtered), binary files for velocities, accelerations and distance increments. All results can be converted into ASCII tables by the user such that further processing with other software like MATLAB is easily possible. Features: GPS single-point solution using pseudo-ranges; NMEA output in form of GPGGA strings; Dual-frequency data processing supported; Estimation of velocity vectors using precise GPS carrier phase measurements; Derivation of acceleration components by differentiation of velocity time series; Derivation of distance information by integration of velocity time series; Low pass filtering for velocities and accelerations, high-pass filter for distances included; Export of result files in ASCII format for further processing in other user applications; TSoft conversion function; Processing of standard RINEX measurement and broadcast ephemeris files; IGS clock files can be read to obtain precise satellite clock error information; Basic online help included; Graphical user interface to display results; Automatic data processing via simple script files is possible.
