GravAP - Gravimetric Adjustment Package 2003-11

The Gravimetric Adjustment Package ETOS GravAP has been developed for processing relative gravimetric networks. Albeit the software focuses on relative readings, absolute gravity measurements can be incorporated in the network adjustment procedure as well. Instrumental, tidal, pressure and other effects can be removed from the measurements. Several kinds of adjustment procedures are available. Moreover, the optional Topographic Modelling Module "TopoGra" can be used to estimate the effects of topography on gravity measurements with help of digital elevation models. The initial development of the software package was carried out from 1998 to 1999, major revisions were carried out in 2003. GravAP is used for education and research.Features: Pre-Processing of observations including blunder detection; site-specific information can be included, e.g. local free air gradients and tidal amplitude factors; support of LaCoste-Romberg gravimeters (Models G and D); data import routine for Scintrex CG-5 Autograv available (Scintrex Utility required); precise tidal potential development (CTE) available in order to correct measurements for tidal impact; flexible single-session adjustment ("loop adjustment") including integration of absolute measurements, polynomial drift compensation and estimation of the gravimeter's scale factor; multi-session adjustment for combination of results from several single-sessions; network update and deformation analysis via Kalman filtering; gravity database for convenient storage of results as well as point documentation (links to detailed point descriptions, maps, sketches and photos can be defined); convenient dialog-based input of measured data; optional topographic modelling module available to compute gravity impact of land masses (computation of gravity anomalies); point co-ordinate read-out from GPS handheld devices for easy generation of database entries.The following restrictions apply in comparison to the full version: You are only allowed to process single-session adjustments (no multi-session network adjustments), the network update is not available, nor the GPS point import and the CG-5 import filter. You are only allowed to process the project sample included in the distribution. Processing any data different from those supplied is prohibited.
