Probably, it will be difficult for the drivers of today who are already
familiar with the fifth generation of this car, to recognize some
familiar features in the predecessor, which we present here. The thing is
that it has none. The first car of the family was not technically perfect.
The model of 1957 had a rail frame, a depended back suspension leaf,
it was quite traditional, but it had a light plastic body and it was very
progressive for the time. Harley Earl was the stylist of this elegant and
externally fast car. The second generation of Corvette was produced from
1963, the third generation - from 1968, and the fourth generation -
from 1984 to 1997.
