XStandard is the first WYSIWYG editor to generate clean XHTML 1.1 markup with no deprecated tags. It is typically integrated into browser/Windows-based content management systems where business authors use it to manage rich content in any language (Chinese, Russian, etc.). The editor supports images, layout and data tables, lists, links, floats, drag-and-drop, file uploads, browsing of files in libraries, and custom tags. Formatting is through CSS, which authors reference by selecting styles from an intuitive drop-down menu with customizable friendly names like "Heading", "Description", etc. Web Services (SOAP) are used to reference/upload files. XHTML 1.1 ensures the complete separation of data from presentation, preparing content for re-use by devices and accessibility applications.The editor's unique Screen Reader Preview displays content as it is processed by screen readers in linear fashion. This brings accessibility considerations to the forefront of Web authoring for the first time and gives authors opportunities to adjust content accordingly. XStandard Lite is freeware. XStandard Pro offers enhanced Web Services and its eval version is available from our Web site.
